What began in 2020 as a way to navigate the stillness of lockdown has since grown into a steady and deeply rooted practice. At Makeshift Studio, the rhythm of throwing, glazing, firing, and reclaiming continues to shape not just objects, but the days themselves. The wheel has become a place of focus, quiet repetition, and small discoveries. There is always something to learn—through process, material, or the subtle surprises that emerge from the kiln.
Lately, the studio has been focused on developing small-batch tableware—pieces made for daily use, with glazes that celebrate variation, quiet imperfection, and the tactile pleasure of handmade forms.

Cane-Handled Teapot – Oilspot Glaze (2 Cup)
This one-of-a-kind stoneware teapot is made for slow moments and quiet rituals. With a rounded belly and a snug flat-fitting lid, it holds enough for two cups. The cane handle adds a soft, natural contrast to the deep, speckled surface of the oilspot glaze—a finish that catches the light and reveals its character over time. This teapot is individually handmade, with no two exactly alike.
