Although there were things to really thrill the eye at every turn some of the sublime qualities of the landscape experience was drowned out by the overwhelming volume of visitors – the selfie wielding coach tour groups diminished the freedom to find a ‘place to stand’ and meditate on the purity and beauty of the land.
